Why use LED lights rather than CFG saving light or Halogen lights?

LED lights are the future of lighting, not only are they 90% more energy efficient than Halogen lights, they also have a lifespan rated between 22 and 45 years. The start up cost might be slightly higher than halogen, but the money you save on electricity will pay your lights off after only 3 months. LED lights do NOT contain any toxic powders, mercury or lead. 0.001 seconds after switching on your light, it will be at full capacity, so you get instant light. CFG saving lights, for example can take up to 5 minutes to be at full capacity. LED lights only heat up to 50 degrees celcius, which means you can actually touch the light while it is switched on without burning your fingers! This also stops the lights from heating up your house in summer. Due to this lack of heat these lights last 20 times longer than Halogen lights and in comparison they only use 10% the amount of the electricity.

What light do I choose, how many watts do I need?

Our best recommendation on this question is to look at your current lights. Please check the basetype: there is GU10, MR16, E27, E14 and B22.

What colour light do I choose? Warm white or Neutral white?

We supply LED lights in two different colours: "Warm white" and "Neutral white". Warm white is the most popular colour and most halogen light bulbs and spotlights/downlights are in this colour. We recommend you choose the same colour as your existing lights, unless you ofcourse want to go with lights more white or more yellow than your current lights. Are there any disadvantages between LED and halogen?

No, there are absolutely no disadvantages choosing LED lighting. A lot of people have come to believe that lights that save electricity are less bright and in very clinical white colours. This is all because of CFG savinglights or spiral lights. These lights indeed do not come in warm white colours and take up to 5 minutes to be at full capacity, which is still not very powerful.

LED lights save you 5 times the amount of electricity on top of what you already save with CFG lights! And the colours and light power (or luminous flux) are identical to halogen lights. The only difference between Halogen and LED, is that LED lights do not heat up above 50 degrees celsius. Which means you can actually touch the light while its on without burning your fingers. This makes these lights 100% safe and also very suitable for the Australian summer.

What does Luminous Flux mean?

Luminous Flux is the actual perceived power of the light and is measured in units of lumens (lms). We are very accustomed to look at the amount of watts a light uses rather than the actual light power or amount of lumens it emits. Our 12W LED spotlights emit between 780-850 lms, which is very powerful and you can compare these to a 80 watt Halogen light. Our 7W light bulbs emit between 630-665 lumen and you can compare these to a 60 watt Halogen light. You can see that the LED light bulb is almost half the watts, but the actual luminous flux is only 15-20% less. Our recommendation is to look at how many watts your current lights are and choose our lights according to the compared-with-halogen rating (example: 12W spotlight = 80W halogen light).

What is your refund and warranty policy?

We offer full refunds or exchange for defective items only. If you have received the item in a damaged condition, please notify us within 5 days after receiving. Do you ship overseas, outside of Australia?

Yes, we do, eBay will indicate the specific shipping costs for your country, depending on quantity and weight.

How long does shipping take?

Within Australia we will aim to make sure you receive your package within 7-10 days. If your order takes longer than 18 days to receive please contact us.

Outside of Australia it can take up to 30 days to receive your package, please contact us after 30 days if you have not received your order.

What shipping company do you use?

We use Australia post and for all our orders, both domestic and international.
